Pipelines & Opportunities
Moving Deals Through Pipeline Stages
Advance deals through stages manually or automatically, and spot stalled ones.
The point of a pipeline is movement. Here is how to advance deals through stages, manually and automatically.
Moving an Opportunity Manually
Drag and Drop (Kanban view): Grab an opportunity card and drag it to the next stage column.
From the Opportunity Detail: Click the card to open it, change the Stage dropdown, and save.
Moving Deals Automatically with Automations
Automations can move deals between stages so you don't have to:
- Contact signs a proposal — move to "Proposal Accepted"
- Appointment completed — move to "Service Delivered"
- Payment received — mark as "Won" and start onboarding automation
- No contact for 14 days — move to "Stalled" and notify the assigned user
Use the Update Opportunity Stage action in an Automation.
Marking Deals as Won or Lost
- Open the opportunity.
- Click the Status dropdown and select Won, Lost, or Abandoned.
- Optionally add a reason for lost deals.
Won and Lost deals leave the active board but remain in your reporting.
Finding Stalled Deals
- Filter the Opportunities board by Last Activity to surface deals with no recent updates.
- Build an Automation that notifies the deal owner when an opportunity hasn't changed stages in 7+ days.
Pipeline Reporting
- Go to Reporting > Opportunities.
- View: total open pipeline value, deals per stage, win rate, average time per stage, and revenue closed in a date range.
This shows where deals stall, who is closing most, and where to focus.
