Creating & Sending Invoices

Build, send, and track professional invoices — no separate billing tool needed.

Noddle lets you create and send professional invoices directly from the platform — no separate billing tool needed. Invoices can be sent by email or SMS and paid online by your clients.

Before You Start: Connect a Payment Processor

To collect payments through Noddle invoices, you need to connect Stripe or another supported payment processor.

  1. Go to Settings > Payments > Integrations.
  2. Click Connect next to Stripe.
  3. Follow the Stripe authorization flow.

Once connected, Noddle can process card payments on your behalf.

Creating an Invoice

  1. Go to Payments > Invoices in the left menu.
  2. Click + New Invoice.
  3. Fill in the invoice details:
    • Contact — search for or select the client
    • Invoice Name — what this invoice is for
    • Line Items — add products or services with name, quantity, and price
    • Tax — add a tax rate if applicable
    • Discount — apply a discount amount or percentage
    • Due Date — when payment is expected
    • Notes — any additional information for the client
  4. Click Save.

Sending an Invoice

  1. From the invoice, click Send.
  2. Choose the delivery method: Email, SMS, or Email & SMS.
  3. Customize the message if needed.
  4. Click Send Invoice.

The client receives a link to a hosted payment page where they can review the invoice and pay by card.

Invoice Templates

If you send similar invoices regularly, create a template to save time:

  1. Go to Payments > Invoices > Templates.
  2. Build the template with standard line items, tax, and terms.
  3. When creating future invoices, start from this template instead of from scratch.

Tracking Invoice Status

All invoices are listed in Payments > Invoices with a status:

StatusMeaning
DraftCreated but not yet sent
SentDelivered to client, awaiting payment
PaidPayment received
OverduePast due date, unpaid
VoidCancelled

Automating Invoice Delivery

Invoices can be sent automatically through Automations. For example:

  • Trigger: Opportunity marked as Won
  • Action: Send Invoice (using a template)

This ensures clients receive their invoice the moment a deal closes, without anyone having to manually create and send it.
